In a recent video by the Lock Picking Lawyer, we get a hands-on demonstration with the OKG Brand Dual Sliding Bolt Padlock. This sturdy-looking lock retails for approximately $70 on Amazon and is marketed as being made from cast stainless steel. However, upon careful inspection, the video unveils some notable details and vulnerabilities that potential buyers might want to consider.

The padlock features a disc detainer core, which when unlocked, allows both shackles to be released. While designed for secure use, the Lock Picking Lawyer demonstrated the ease of picking this lock using a custom tool – a pick developed with the help of Bosnian Bill. By turning all the discs as far clockwise as they would go and aligning specific tension, the lock could be opened in a matter of seconds.

From the video, it took him from timestamp 43.52 to about 89.60 to pick the lock, marking a total of 46.08 seconds to revealing its compromise. Such quickness sheds light on the lock’s susceptibility to picking, especially emphasizing the plastic inner sleeve which raises concerns over durability under potential heat and force attacks.

If you’re still interested in the OKG Brand Dual Sliding Bolt Padlock for your security needs, you can find it available for purchase on Amazon. However, it’s vital to note the potential drawbacks highlighted in the demo.
